Hello, there’s an old story about how Merlin brought Stonehenge to Salisbury Plain. And in those days it was actually called The Giant’s Dance, according to the story I’ve heard.

And the king at the time, Uther Pendragon, father of Arthur had been to Ireland, where The Giant’s Dance stood on the top of a hill, and he tried to get his army to bring the stones down, but they were far too heavy, and they wouldn’t move anyway because they were actually giants.
So Uther asked Merlin for help, and Merlin travelled to Ireland, and using singing magic spells to the stones, according to the local people, this is what he did., of course he didn’t tell about his magic.
But using the magic that Merlin carried, this deep wisdom and magic of these ancient islands, he charmed these stones, and by night The Giant’s Dance came down from the top of the hill, all the way down these still upright, and it went onto a spirit ship. And the spirit ship sailed across the land and across the sea, over to Salisbury Plain, and there The Giant’s Dance stood, in those days of Uther Pendragon and Arthur.
And even in those days, it was many 1000s years old, it was a mystery even to those people there. Now we call it Stonehenge.
And why am I telling you this story?
Because I’m standing here in a medicine wheel that has been in our garden and, we’re going to move it. Because we’re moving house. We’re going to change the location of this medicine wheel, and we are going to transport it.
Over the years that we’ve been here, many circles of people have sat here around the fire. The medicine wheel is a symbol of infinity. It has no beginning, no end. There is no hierarchy about the medicine wheel. All people are equal in it, and we sit together in a circle, we really listen deeply to each other’s truth, and hear each other.
And it mirrors the circles in nature. It mirrors eternity, the whole circle of life. It mirrors the way the sun moves in a circle across the sky, the cycle of the moon moving in a circle. So many things are circular in nature.
So I was asked to make this film about how you take a medicine wheel down. So it’s a ceremony we’re going to do. My wife and I have been sitting here in the circle, praying with the stones, speaking to the spirits of this place, telling them our intention to move the circle.
And tomorrow, a circle of people is going to gather here, and we’re going to move these stones. First, we’re going to pray. We’re going to walk around in this direction, anti-clockwise, you could say, or widowshins.
Usually, I go the other way, which winds the energy up. But this way, I’m told it winds the energy down. We’re going to sing to these stones, and as we go round, we will bless them with our prayers for gratitude, blessings on the people who experience this place, and the new place it’s going to.
We’re going to sing to them. So there’s going to be a ceremonial element, and then the practical. We’re simply going to take these stones out of the ground, and starting in the east, the east is over there in the yellow, where the yellow flag is. You can see the gateway stones there. We’re going to take those stones first from there, and then come round to the northeast, then to the north, the blue one, and so on around, and take them towards where they’re going to be repositioned in a sacred circle.
There are also hidden under the ground, we placed crystals with prayer and intention for this circle. When we raised the circle, constructed it in the first place, we put crystals down there. So we’re going to see if we can recover those crystals and take them with us.
And so this is a blessing ceremony, and the idea is to help enable people to come into peace, come into higher, expanded consciousness, into alignment with themselves, with life, with each other, and to raise the vibration on this planet,.
So we’ll be moving it to our new place, and we’ll be the custodians of the wheel there. And many, hopefully, many more people will come and make ceremony there to connect with the deep self and with the infinite vastness, the mystery of all life. So, thank you. That’s our intention for taking this wheel down and moving it.
